Create a company list

Updated Oct 20263 min read

A company list holds the accounts you want to sell to. Once you have one, you can add company details, score the companies against your ICP and find the right people at each of them.

There are two ways to fill a list: from a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator company search, or from your own file.

You need a connected LinkedIn account. See Connect your LinkedIn account.

  1. Build a company search in Sales Navigator or LinkedIn and copy its URL.
  2. Open Companies. On the Paste URL tab, paste it and press Search. You can also paste a single company page URL and press Fetch company.
  3. Or use the Search filters tab to set filters such as industry, headcount and location in filtrat.
  4. Check the preview: how many companies were found and the First results.
  5. Choose how many to capture.
  6. Name the list under Save to new list, and press Capture N companies.

The capture runs in the background, adding company details as it goes. You can close the page.

A company search returns at most 1,000 companies, about 40 pages. To capture more, split the search, for example by location or industry, and capture each part into the same list. From inside a list, Add data → Add companies adds more; companies already in it are skipped.

What it costs

5 per company that we add a domain or description to. If there's nothing new to add, there's no charge. A company you were charged for in the last 30 days is free. If your credits run out, the capture pauses and continues by itself after you add credits.

From your own file

Use this for CRM exports, event lists, target account spreadsheets: anything with company names, domains or LinkedIn pages. No LinkedIn account is needed to import.

  1. On the Companies page, press New list, give it a name and press Create list.
  2. In the list, open Add data → Import file.
  3. Drop a CSV or Excel file (up to 50,000 rows).
  4. In Map columns, tell filtrat which column holds what: Company name, Domain, Website, Town / city, Country, LinkedIn company URL and Your ID (CRM). Each row needs at least a name, domain, website or LinkedIn URL.
  5. If the file has no country column, pick the companies' country. If some rows lack a country, you can set one for those rows only.
  6. Press Import N rows.

Importing is free: rows are kept as you gave them, and nothing is looked up. They then wait to be matched to real companies, which is what turns messy names into verified LinkedIn companies with websites, industry and size. See Match imported companies. Rows with a LinkedIn company URL can also go straight to Find decision-makers, which looks each one up first (20 per company found).

Your ID (CRM) is kept with each row and included in the export, so you can match results back to your CRM.
